Learning Pathways
Every Zebra Robotics Ajax course is part of a structured learning stream for grades 1–12. Instead of taking one-off classes, students build skills progressively — from beginner foundations to advanced projects and challenges.
Design. Build. Innovate.
From simple machines to autonomous robots, students develop engineering, design and problem-solving skills through hands-on projects and real-world challenges.

Learning in the AI Era
If AI can generate answers and write code, why should children learn STEM, robotics and coding? Because understanding helps them ask better questions, test ideas and make sense of the results.
STEM gives children practice reasoning with evidence. Robotics turns ideas into something they can build, measure and improve. Coding helps them understand the instructions behind the technology and work out what needs to change.
At Zebra, students develop these foundations through hands-on projects, one challenge at a time — building the understanding to create thoughtfully with the tools of today and tomorrow.
Interview · Nationwide 90 FM, Jamaica · 1:19
“There is a need to understand programming.”
Prof. Jonathan Kelly
Director, STARS Lab, University of Toronto
Zebra Robotics Advisory Board member
From the interview
Prof. Kelly points first to mathematics and programming. Those foundations help students understand how AI tools work, use them with judgment and recognize their limits.
AI tools such as ChatGPT and Claude can produce remarkable results from a prompt. But students still need to understand programming to know what the generated code does and whether it works as intended.
Students can end up relying on something an AI tool built that they do not fully understand — and miss serious limitations in what it produced.
How Learning Works
Weekly STEM classes in Ajax run on a rhythm families can plan around — a fixed day and time, experienced coaches, and a structured, self-paced curriculum that keeps every student progressing.
Learning continues beyond the lab. Enrolled students can access course materials and track their progress through Zebra’s digital learning platform. Parents are encouraged to connect with their child’s coach anytime for updates and to see their progress firsthand.
The Competitive Edge
Students at Zebra Robotics Ajax take what they learn in class and put it to the test. From first-time competitors to championship teams, Zebra students compete in STRIPE, FIRST LEGO League, FTC, VEX and WRO — building teamwork, confidence and real-world problem-solving skills along the way.

Ajax Parents Say
Families who send their children to our Ajax lab, in their own words.
“We have been coming here for about 3 months now, and honestly, we absolutely love it.”

“We have been coming here for about 3 months now, and honestly, we absolutely love it. My kids get so excited for every class, and at the end I actually have to pull them away because they just do not want to leave. That alone says so much about how much they enjoy being here 😊 What makes me even happier is seeing their growth. In just a few months, their confidence with coding and understanding of STEM concepts has improved so much. They are not just learning, they are genuinely curious and excited about it. If you are even a little unsure, I would highly recommend stopping by, talking to the teacher, and trying a demo class. You will feel the difference right away.”
“My son enjoys Zebra Robotics as they have enough equipment for each student to use and come back to weekly.”

“My son enjoys Zebra Robotics as they have enough equipment for each student to use and come back to weekly. Instructor Nathan is very helpful in explaining the challenges and tasks as well as working through the challenge itself but still allowing the student to discover the solutions on their own. The challenges push the students and build on previous skills/knowledge learned. Naga the owner is very helpful and welcoming. New facility, clean and new equipment. Would highly recommend.”
“We had a great experience here at Zebra Robotics, with our 11 year old daughter going to the robotics bootcamp over summer holidays.”

“We had a great experience here at Zebra Robotics, with our 11 year old daughter going to the robotics bootcamp over summer holidays. This is a superb facility, very bright and spacious, with three large (huge actually!) classrooms. It is in a safe and a very accessible location in a new building and is very well equipped with sufficient number of robots/devices and laptops per student, unlike other similar places we have checked out. She thoroughly enjoyed the experience, she had some great learning on robotics and coding. We found the coaches were skillful at identifying her strengths and guided her where she needed help and they provided insightful feedback to her and to us. She says it was a fun environment and she is looking forward to continue with the weekly classes for the year.. Overall, highly recommended!”
